“The principle idea of Active Resistance is that you get out of life what you put in and that real experience of the world involves thinking” – Vivienne Westwood.
Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and Lee have teamed up to create an online installation ‘100 Days of Active Resistance.’ They are inviting members of the public to get creative by submitted an artwork or a photograph that they feel best represents Dame Vivienne’s idea of Active Resistance.
Starting on the 8th September one picture will be chosen for the following 100 days and compiled into an exhibition at the end. We are asking all of our readers to submit an image that they feel represents Active Resistance. It can be anything you like, a photograph, a slogan or a work of art. The chosen images will be showcased on www.ar100days.com and Vivienne Westwood will launch the website and the collaboration with an exhibition of her denim designs from past to present.
Be part of a project that draws away from the superficial and think about yourself and the world.
“It is not enough to follow world politics, see films and read the prize-winning best seller. This is superficial, you need to go deep in order to understand who you are, what the world is and how things could be better. This involves culture which can only be acquired by self-education: human beings should mirror the world.” – Vivienne Westwood
Please note:
Submitted image must be – 640 x 480 pixels (6:4) – landscape or portrait
Must not exceed 6mb in size Jpg, gif, or png format
